 his school provides an introduction to neutron scattering techniques inclu
 ding hands-on experiments and data analysis conducted using available inst
 ruments at ANSTO.\n\nDuring five days intensive study course you will have
  the opportunity to learn from top level scientists and conduct practical 
 work on some of the world’s top neutron instruments here at ANSTO.\n\nSc
 ientists\, engineers and technicians will be on hand to assist your learni
 ng experience\, providing you with skills that you can utilise at neutron 
 sources across the world.\n\nAbout the School\n\nLectures sessions will co
 ver a range of neutron scattering and diffraction techniques with scientif
 ic applications in a diverse range of fields including chemistry\, physics
 \, engineering and archeology. During the five days intensive study course
 \, you will also have the opportunity to learn from leading experts and co
 nduct practical work on some of the world’s top neutron instruments. Sci
 entists\, engineers and technicians from within the Australian Centre for 
 Neutron Scattering will be on hand to assist your learning experience.\n\n
 The goal is to provide you with skills that you can utilize at neutron sou
 rces across the world and to open a new avenue for your future research.\n
 \nWho should attend?\n\nGraduate students\, PhD students\, post-doctoral a
 nd early-career researchers who want to learn about neutron elastic and in
 elastic scattering and diffraction.\n\nSelection criteria\n\nThe school is
  open to both local and international participants\, however there is a st
 rict limit of 30 participants\, to ensure small group sizes for the practi
 cal experiments. The registration fee will cover your accommodation and me
 als for the entire week.\n\nThe school organizers may provide limited fina
 ncial support to cover travel expenses depending on the availability of fu
 nds. Applicants who request financial support should write a message in th
 e application for. For more details\, kindly contact organising committee 
 on aonsa-school@ansto.gov.au.\n\nApplicants are requested to complete the 
 application form with justification for their attendance. While previous k
 nowledge of neutron scattering techniques is not essential\, it is preferr
 ed. Preference will also be given to those applicants who can demonstrate 
 a future need for the neutron scattering techniques in their scientific re
