The Centre for Accelerator Science maintains, develops, and operates currently four tandem accelerators primarily for Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) and Ion Beam Analysis (IBA). In 1964 ANSTO or the AAEC at the time installed its first accelerator, the 3 Million Volt KN3000 single ended Van de Graff.
